Get busy living, or get busy dying. - Ellis Boyd ‘Red’ Redding
I’m picking up some new tools this weekend, it’s part of the new lifestyle shift for me. First up:
Epiphone Dot Studio Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar
I’ve been thinking about this for a while, my wife posed a question to me a month ago that until now has gone unanswered: “What is your passion?”. The sad thing is, I’ve never really had any thing that I’ve ever been passionate about, save for music. I’ve just never been able to put two and two together in my head. I decided I might as well try something new, damn any consequences.
The shift I mentioned earlier involves my new active out look on life. I’ve been running out at White Rock Lake and around the neighborhood, but it can only do so much for the upper body. Kayaking/canoeing is something I thoroughly enjoyed as a child, so I decided to pick up a 2 person kayak for me and the wife to take out to White Rock and bust around on the lake in it.
Apex II Ocean Kayak
I’d rather be out in the gulf/ocean in it, but being in Dallas limits our available venues. The plus side of White Rock is that power boats are prohibited, it’s all sail boats and canoes/kayaks. Whatever this new active lifestyle encompasses, I can tell you this: It beats sitting in a bar and drinking my life away.
